1. i really hope to see all of you at centsable fashions in aberdeen today….i’ll be broadcasting live from 11-2, and we’ll have some sunny t-shirts and cd’s to give away…..and centsable fashions will have wall to wall savings today. stop by and see us today from 11-2.
2. i would like to wish a happy birthday to my uncle, wayne haaland of the britton-langford area…….wayne owns “haaland’s auto repair” in britton. anyone in the britton area, call him and wish him a happy birthday.
3. i played “beth” by kiss this morning….is there a more powerful ballad out there? i remember the first time i heard that song back around 1976, and i couldn’t BELEIVE that it was kiss. another superb ballad is “dust in the wind” by kansas……
4. I’M LOVIN’ THIS WEATHER, BABY…..i put on my headset and walked about a mile last night….i felt rejuvinated all night long……i need to take off around 20-25 pounds, so you’ll probably see me walking more and more….i’m not much on working out, but i do like to walk.
5. my apologies to my neighbors in warner…..i’m BLARING my jukebox as i put together an all “rock and roll” jukebox…….in the past two years i’ve had half classic country, half pop and rock….but i decided to go all rock and roll, and it’s quite a chore to print out the labels and switch all the records….BUT I LOVE DOING IT….i’ve alway always always wanted a jukebox of my own, and i’m so thrilled to have one…….when i was growing up, i spent my life in front of jukeboxes playing records……..
6. reports are that barack o’bama bowled a 37 the other night…but in his defense he only bowled seven frames….SEVEN FRAMES AND A 37? that means two things…he’s a lousy bowler and he’s a quitter….ha ha
7. on this date in 1956 elvis presley made his first appearance on “the milton berle show.” he sang “blue suede shoes” “heartbreak hotel” and “money, honey.” what do you think? was elvis the most dynamic performer of all time…i think he was….i don’t think we will ever see a bigger entertainer in the world ever again than elvis presley…..still can’t beleive that he died at age 42…..that’s younger than i am right now…..
8. actress doris day is 84 years old today…..doris day has become a recluse in recent years, hardly venturing out for anything……used to love the “doris day show” with her theme “kay serrah serrah, whatever will be, will be”. i also thought her movie “pillow talk” with rock hudson was a FABULOUS movie….
9. a firefighter somewhere in the midwest is credited for saving a cat by giving it cpr…..no disrespect to animal owners, but i’m not giving cpr to anything that has “mouse breath.”
10. lindsay lohan will play a “sex crazed waitress” in a new movie called “florence.” she’s schedule to take it all off in this movie for a nude scene…..this scene will be especially exciting for the seven men in the world that haven’t already seen her naked.
11. christopher walken will host this weekends saturday night live….i never really like christopher walken until he started hosting snl….he’s an incredible host….very dry, but very funny…his greatest line? “WE NEED MORE COWBELL, BABY!!”
12. tons of things to do this weekend in aberdeen….the polar plunge is saturday at 1:00 out at wylie…i’ll be there announcing….the aberdeen home builder’s show is at the expo building on the brown county fairgrounds, and our “great outdoors show” will once again be at the barnett center friday saturday and sunday……COME ON OUT, ENJOY THE WEATHER, AND CHECK OUT THE FUN….

Did you know that Gene Simmons hates the song Beth? I think that is funny, but then Gene Simmons amuses me greatly!! That cowbell skit w/ Christopher Walken is one of the best SNL ever!! Along with the Justin Timberlake box one!! Ever see that, hilarious!!

I would give CPR to an animal before most of the people I know!! LOL!! Oh, and by the way…your jukebox must not be loud enough, because I haven’t heard it across the street yet!
