PLEASE READ…A PERSONAL STORY…

with this major winter storm coming to the area, i would like to share a personal story, so that maybe it will stop you from going out in the horrible weather….

back before my beautiful wife JEANNIE, i was dating a girl who lived a few miles outside of EDEN…..this was back in 1984 when that WALL CLOUD came from the north that killed some people in FARGO…

anway, i HAD TO GO SEE HER, you know how that is…..

between ROSLYN AND EDEN, the wall cloud hit, and i could’t see the hood of my car…a short time later, i went directly into a ditch…i stepped out of the car with my very light jacket on, and i couldn’t see my feet because it was blowing and snowing so hard….so, like the brainless wonder that i can sometimes be, i started walking toward the local radio station to stay warm until i could get the car out….

it let up just enough that i could see a 4×4 coming out of EDEN…the man stopped and said that they only reason he was allowed to leave EDEN was that he had a state radio in his vehicle…he asked me where the hell i was going,  and i told him that i was walking to the radio station for help…he then pointed in the opposite way i was walking and said, “THE RADIO STATION IS THIS WAY…YOU WERE WALKING INTO AN OPEN FIELD.”

bottom line folks…I COULD HAVE DIED THAT DAY IN THE STORM….if i had gotten out into that field, i would have never ever found my way out….

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be safe during this major winter storm….keep the kids home, don’t let anybody venture out when it gets bad like it’s supposed to….

hopefully my personal story will help some people….
