what have i done for my country? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING compared to those who bravely left their families behind and went to foreign lands to fight for our beloved land……i hope and pray that each of you takes time on monday, which is MEMORIAL DAY, to stop and reflect on those that gave their lives….those that had planned on coming home to thier families…..those who had future plans and dreams that were ruined by bombs and bullets…….those who thought nothing of fighting for me and you, even though they did not know us….
i couldn’t join the military because of health reasons…..my father, my brother TROY and my brother TREVOR were in the NATIONAL GUARD. my brother TREVOR served in “DESERT STORM.” and, i frankly, could not be more proud of him….but we were lucky….we were able to watch him come off the plane….we were able to put our arms around him and hug and kiss him and tell him “we love you.” we were some of the fortunate ones……
on MEMORIAL DAY, i pray that your thoughts and prayers are not only with those that gave thier lives for our country, but also with the families who struggle thru each and every MEMORIAL DAY, because of their loved ones not being with them.
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS THOSE THAT HAVE GONE ON BEFORE US…THOSE THAT FOUGHT FOR THIS INCREDIBLE COUNTRY…..
