THE DEATH OF ELVIS PRESLEY….

can you believe that ELVIS PRESLEY died THIRTY FIVE YEARS AGO TOMORROW? wow…

we were sitting around the tv watching “CAPTAIN 11” when the news came across the screen that ELVIS had died at the tender age of 42….jeepers…now that i’m 48, it really hits home how young he was……

ELVIS PRESLEY was one good looking man…in fact, my aunt AUDREY was completely in love with him up until her death a few years ago….and, one of my wife’s cousins is crazy about him, too…and guess what?  she told me that when she is gone, I GET HER ELVIS COLLECTION…YIPPEE….although, i want her to be here for many many more years….

here’s a couple of pictures of the man that i think is the greatest entertainer this world has EVER seen….

here’s ELVIS, PRISCILLA, and LISA MARIE….

this next picture is the way many of us younger people will remember “THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL.”

can’t believe it’s been 35 years since he died…and his home of GRACELAND is still drawing millions of people each years…i have been there twice, and to be honest with you, it felt very very weird walking into his house…almost felt like trespassing….

we have to do some ELVIS music for you…these are probably my two favorite songs by ELVIS PRESLEY…

first of all, here’s “THE WONDER OF YOU.”

and ELVIS certainly did it “his way.”  so here’s his rendition of “MY WAY.” i think a much better version of the song than FRANK SINATRA or anybody else….
